No More Politics, I'm Into WoW now...

and it's SO MUCH MORE FUN..

Not to mention slightly more addicting.
An obsession with what's up with politicos can eventually lead to a constant case of the blues, irrational anger, or possibly your head spontaneously exploding.

I have discovered a mellower pastime, having spent the better part of the last two days trying to choose just the right WoW character for "me". Trying a few out, etc...it won't matter if I let a few things slide for a few days, months, years maybe?

I just got started and the realms are down for maitenance for 8 hours or so. That's the only reason I am actually writing something. I'm still getting my exercise, though. Running up and down the stairs to see if WoW is back.

Party From Another Planet

I like The Daily Kos, but come on people, WAKE UP!!!!

I am amazed at the jubilation of all you dems, raving about how great our candidates are, how winning the pres is a slam dunk, yada yada.

We must be living on different planets. Do you really believe this country will elect a woman OR a black man?

How did Democrats get so starry-eyed all of a sudden? Maybe they snapped from enduring the last decade....and, GO Obama! If we're gonna delude ourselves, anyway, I will go with my gut and vote for you.

YANKEES GO HOME

Recently I was driving behind a truck with the bumper sticker "Joy is seeing Yankees head back north."

I am a New Yorker currently living in the south. I won't specify which state, as I would hate to start a shitstorm of Yankees wanting to settle down here.

What I will say is that I absolutely refuse to sit quietly by when some asshole says the word nigger. I don't care who it is. I refuse. To. Sit. By.
If I did, it would be as good as condoning it.

I'm sure there are plenty of open-minded people who reside in our southern states. And plenty of the other kind, too, which will become apparent should Barack Obama get the democratic nomination, or even come close.

GO BARACK!!

There's No Crying in Politics

I just saw Hillary trembling, on the verge of tears while speaking in New Hampshire leading up to the primary. NO NO NO HILLARY don't CRY! Everyone knows that tears can be a useful manipulatory tool-but why play the Tear Card NOW? You are always the toughest customer among all the candidates. It looks a little, well, scripted to me...and also takes away from what I've always considered your greatest strength (strength). While I am not a Hillary supporter, I find myself cringing at her latest ploy for sympathy. And also- Bill, why are you pointing out that she is an (old) woman? Hush up now.

The Gordian Knot

The Gordian knot is a metaphor for an intractable problem. A lot like who to vote for in the upcoming elections.

Yes, I suppose in the abstract at least, I would be willing to vote for a republican candidate. Ron Paul, for example. He's not a republican, though...

That leaves me with the democrats, or maybe an independent. Back to Ron Paul again. Or Bloomberg. But until that time...

On to the Dems. Yeah, this is where the Gordian knot analogy comes in. Where, oh where do I go?

Let's see here...Most Sincere: Edwards
Most Charming: Obama
Most Kind: Richardson
Most fun: Biden (he's gone now)
Most Crazy: you know
Most, uh........female? Could be a toss-up. (I also have it on
good authority that she is the bitchiest.)

Personally, I like Obama the best. Although it's doubtful that he is anywhere near ready to be president. And is almost certain that he could never be elected. But it would be such a hoot if he was.
